Get your sweet tooth ready for today’s treat. We’re back in the kitchen with one of our favorite holiday desserts that also doubles as a delicious snack. These vegan peppermint donuts are sure to be a hit with the whole family. They’re perfect to enjoy during a family zoom meeting, or small gathering. Coordinate your favorite kid’s outfit with your apron and get ready to bake!  

Vegan Peppermint Donuts

Here’s what you’ll need: 

  • 1 cup Natural Delights pitted Medjool dates
  • ½ cup nondairy milk
  • ½ cup almond butter
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup melted chocolate chips
  • Crushed candy canes
  • Donut pan

Vegan Peppermint Donuts

Instructions: 

  • Preheat the oven to 350*
  • Blend the dates, nondairy milk, almond butter, and peppermint extract.
  • Transfer to a bowl.
  • Add the cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Mix together.
  • Spoon the mixture into a donut pan.
  • Bake for 15-17 minutes.
  • Let them cool for 10 minutes and then flip onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
  • Drizzle melted chocolate chips on top and decorate with crushed candy canes.
  • Enjoy!
